Kapalua Resort - Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii

        Kapalua Resort's Plantation Course has been home to the PGA TOUR's season-opening tournament since 1999.  Each January, the event features PGA tournament champions from the previous year, competing for a purse of over 5 million dollars!  The elite field has included such golf greats as Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk, Mike Weir, Fred Couples, and more.
        Kapalua Resort is also home to Hawaii's first state-of-the-art Golf Academy which opened in March 2000.  This acclaimed 23-acre academy, with a staff of PGA Professionals (Jerry King, PGA, is the Head Professional), offers a wide range of instruction to benefit players of all levels.  The 27,000 square foot Kapalua Village Course clubhouse, located adjacent to the Golf Academy, features the resort's largest retail shop, a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and a multi-purpose conference center.
